BE COMMONS PARTICIPATES IN SPHERE, OUR FIRST HORIZON 2020 PROJECT.
Be Commons is taking part in a new Horizon 2020 project, SPHERE (Service Platform to Host and Share Residential data) alongside a European consortium of technology centers, universities and companies for four years (2018-2022). French levels during all its timeframe.

SPHERE will develop and implement the Building Digital Twin concept (a platform hosting a “virtual double” of any building) with the ultimate goal of the improvement and optimization of buildings’ energy design, construction, performance and management, reducing construction errors and costs and their environmental impact, while increasing overall energy performance.
SPHERE’s Digital Twin concept, platform and tools will be tested and validated in four real residential building pilots in Finland, Austria, Italy and the Netherlands, providing also exploitation paths and related business models to accelerate market uptake.
Be Common’s role in SPHERE project:
- We bring to the project innovative and collaborative techniques of construction and management such as Lean Construction and Last Planner®, through the implementation of participatory design methods (Integrated Design & Delivery). We will implement these state-of-the-art collaborative frameworks and tools in the pilot sites through workshops, guidelines and the use of the developed tools.
- We will collaborate with our expertise in the Communication and Dissemination activities of the project, including the building and management of stakeholder’s groups, website and social media content production and management, at European and French levels during all its timeframe.

This project has received funding from the European Union’s H2020 programme under Grant Agreement No. 820805.
